Complex Training Academy is pleased to announce that in partnership with Higher Education Skills Group - formally Skills Victoria, and the Federal Government it has secured a contract to offer Government Subsidised Training as part of the Victorian Training Guarantee. 

The Victorian Training Guarantee is making vocational education and training more accessible to people who do not hold a post-school qualification, or who want to gain a higher level qualification than they already hold.  This is a great initiative that will see more training subsidised for more people.

From the 1st of January, 2012

All of Complex Training Academy’s full courses are eligible for Victorian Government Subsided training places.  The following categories of participants are eligible as part of this new initiative:

All applicants must meet Australian Citizen / Residency requirements and meet one of the following:

  • Australian Citizen
  • Australian Permanent Resident (holder of  permanent visa)
  • holder of a Special Category Visa (sub-class 444, New Zealand Citizen)
  • holder of a Temporary Protection Visa

And are any of the following:

  • Anyone aged between 15 – 19 years of age (on Jan 1st of current year) can complete any qualification, under the age of 20 year of age,
  • Anyone undertaking a Foundation Skills Course,
  • Anyone aged 20 years of age and over (on Jan 1st of current year) can complete any qualification as long as it’s above what they already hold (eg. If they hold a Certificate II qualification they can only complete a Certificate III or above qualification)

To enrol in one of our courses and apply to have your eligibility for this funded training assessed by one of our Authorised Delegates you will need to undertake a formal enrolment process that will take approximately 30 minutes. You will also need to provide the following:

  • A copy of documentation that proves you are an Australian Citizen / Permanent Resident*,
  • A copy of documentation that proves your age**,
  • A signed declaration confirming your past educational achievements (If applicable).

*Appropriate forms of evidence include: Australian Birth Certificate, Current Australian or New Zealand Passport, Naturalisation Certificate, Temporary Protection Visa, Green Medicare Card, Signed declaration by a relevant referee or formal documentation issued by the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship confirming Permanent Residence

** Only required if the above documents do not already show your age with appropriate forms of evidence include: Current Drivers License, Current Learner Permit, Proof of Age, Key Pass

*** Exemptions do exist from Citizenship/Residency Requirements for applicants who hold a referral form from an Asylum Seeker Resource Centre or the Australian Red Cross

****From 01/07/2012, Victorians of any age whose existing highest qualification is VCE, VCAL or any Australian equivalent will be eligible for a government- subsidised training place in a qualification at Certificate II or above

Individuals accessing training under the Victorian Training Guarantee will be eligible to:

  • Commence a maximum of two government subsidised courses in 2012; and
  • Undertake training in no more than two government subsidised courses at any one time.

If you are a registered Job Seeker or Disabled Person attached to an “Employment Service Provider” you can be referred via a ‘Job Seeker Referral Form’ by your consultant to our organisation and if eligible for a ‘Job Seeker Fee Waiver’ you may be able to complete your desired training course fully subsided by the Victorian Training Guarantee. You may also be eligible for this ‘Job Seeker Fee Waiver’ if you are a participant in the Commonwealth Government’s Community Development Employment Program and/or Access Program. Please discuss this with one of our friendly staff.

If you are not a registered Job Seeker or Disabled person attached to an “Employment Service Provider” you may still be eligible for a Tuition Fee Concession if eligible for the Victorian Training Guarantee.

Participants holding a Commonwealth Health Care Card, a Pensioner Concession Card or Veterans Gold Card will be eligible to incur an enrolment fee of between $105 and $120, depending on the qualification undertaken. If you do not hold one of these cards but are eligible for the Victorian Training Guarantee an enrolment fee will still be charged but will be at a higher rate and will be dependent on the qualification undertaken. Please discuss this with one of our friendly staff the applicable tuition fee for your current situation and ask about the process on how to apply.

Once your eligibility for the Victorian Training Guarantee has been assessed and you have completed the enrolment process you will be provided with an acceptance information pack that outlines the course you have chosen in detail. You will receive a Class Schedule, a Student Information Handbook and general information about the course including all the details you need to know about participating in the course, times, dates etc.

Once you have completed the course we would be happy to offer you our free recruitment services to assist you in finding employment in your chosen field. A large number of our students that use our services find sustainable outcome based employment and have changed their lives forever.
